Existen varias palabras que los hispanoparlantes suelen confundir bastante:
so – such / really – very / too – enough
Son muy parecidas y, por sus equivalentes en español, suelen dar problemas…
“So” + adjetivo / adverbio
We are so happy it’s nearly over! (¡Estamos tan contentos de que casi haya terminado!).
They are so tired after working all day. (Están tan cansados después de trabajar todo el día.)
“So many” + sustantivo contable/plural
There were so many people in the centre! (¡Había tanta gente en el centro!).
She has so many cats! (¡Tiene tantos gatos!).
So much + sustantivo incontable
They have so much good fortune! (¡Tienen tanto buena fortuna!).
I ate so much food at Christmas (¡Comí tanto en Navidad!).
Such + a/an + adjetivo + sustantivo contable / singular / plural / incontable
It was such a tiring journey on the bus (¡Fue un viaje tan agotador!).
He is such a handsome man (¡Es un hombre tan guapo!).
